The Role Your primary responsibility is to ensure that all financial operations, from settlements and BDX processes to cash movements and client-money functions, are executed with accuracy and full compliance. Key Accountabilities Financial & Settlement Leadership: Lead all Insurance Broking Account (IBA) responsibilities, encompassing premium allocations, brokerage management, and timely settlement initiation. Management Information (MI) Delivery: Ensure the production of accurate Accounting and Post-Placement MI, including detailed reconciliations, premium tracking, rigorous credit control, and comprehensive financial reporting. Performance Monitoring: Implement and manage structured data controls to monitor reinsurer and client performance, generating actionable insights for the analytics, broking, and client success teams. Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate strategically with Finance, Operations, and Client Solutions to champion financial process improvements, drive accuracy, and ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs). This person will be a primary resource for drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and finalising reinsurance wordings , ensuring that the client’s innovative deal structures are translated into clear, accurate, and commercially aligned agreements. In this role, you will support the development of contract certainty, provide clarity across multi-jurisdictional wordings, and help guide clients through the claims process with confidence and care. You will blend technical drafting expertise with collaborative problem-solving to support efficient, consistent delivery across the deal lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: Draft, negotiate, and refine MGA (US and UK) Lloyd's reinsurance contracts, agreements, clauses, endorsements, and related documents with legal and commercial precision to ensure contract wording reflects the intent of the negotiations. Embed wordings early in the placement lifecycle to remove friction, reduce rework, and accelerate market closure. Lead or support global claims processes including notification, investigation, negotiation, and settlement. Collaborate with brokers, legal teams, Technical Accounting, and analytics to align contract terms with operational realities. Work with brokers, wordings and legal colleagues to refine wordings, interpret policy language, resolve contract issues, and establish best practices. Enhance the client’s clause library and contribute to continuous improvement in contract structure and defensibility.
