Associate Partner - Technical Accounting (Interim)

This pivotal role with our client, a high-growth reinsurance broker, is for a seasoned interim Technical Accountant who will strengthen financial rigor and operational excellence. You will blend analytical discipline with high-level operational precision.

The Role

Your primary responsibility is to ensure that all financial operations, from settlements and BDX processes to cash movements and client-money functions, are executed with accuracy and full compliance. You will enhance reporting clarity and partner with brokers, analytics, and clients to deliver strategic financial insights that drive superior commercial and operational outcomes.

Key Accountabilities

• Financial & Settlement Leadership: Lead all Insurance Broking Account (IBA) responsibilities, encompassing premium allocations, brokerage management, and timely settlement initiation.
• Data Integrity & Management: Direct the BDX and Data Management processes, ensuring robust reconciliation, validation, and seamless integration with the central Data Lake.
• Regulatory Compliance: Provide oversight for Client Money Handling (OA) to guarantee strict adherence to all governance and regulatory standards.
• Management Information (MI) Delivery: Ensure the production of accurate Accounting and Post-Placement MI, including detailed reconciliations, premium tracking, rigorous credit control, and comprehensive financial reporting.
• Performance Monitoring: Implement and manage structured data controls to monitor reinsurer and client performance, generating actionable insights for the analytics, broking, and client success teams.
• Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate strategically with Finance, Operations, and Client Solutions to champion financial process improvements, drive accuracy, and ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
