Requirements
Our client, a provider of home emergency services, is seeking an experienced Fractional Marketing Director for a long-term, monthly rolling contract. This role is focused on providing essential marketing support and sector-specific expertise, particularly around technical and financial aspects of the insurance market. The successful expert will contract through Camelot Consulting.
The Role and Responsibilities
The Director will work to provide support across a number of key functions:
- Marketing Oversight: Support budget development, oversee marketing performance, and introduce new acquisition and retention channels.
- Technical Expertise: Apply practical knowledge of the insurance space.
- M&A Support: Be involved in M&A conversations, negotiations, and value calculations for smaller customer bases and policy books.
- Mentorship: Act as a coach and mentor to the client’s junior Head of Marketing.
- Executive Visibility: Potentially join board meetings to provide marketing insights.
Candidate Profile
They are looking for a professional with proven experience as a Marketing Director.
Essential Experience: Demonstrable expertise as a strategic marketing leader within the insurance sector.
Bonus Experience: Specific experience in home services/home emergency cover, home-related insurance, or car breakdown cover.
Insurance Experience: Familiar with the insurance space, i.e. renewal pricing algorithms, churn and M&A/valuation of other customer/policy bases.
Details of the engagement:
Commitment: Minimum 0.5 days per week, with ad-hoc requirements increasing to 2-3 days per week as needed.
Contract: Long-term, monthly rolling contract.
Start Date: ASAP, March, or latest April 2026.
Location: Remote, with attendance required for meetings in London up to once per month.
Day Rate: Maximum budget of £800 for the right level of experience.
