About our guest speakers:
Katie Lennon, Head of Strategy – Energy Transition at AXA XL
Katie is a market thought leader on the role of insurance companies in delivering impact. Passionate about the role that insurance and the broader financial services industry can play in sustainable development and recognising the need for bridging the education gap to effect change. Katie started her insurance career in underwriting and has held roles in strategy, portfolio management and ESG prior to her most recent appointment as Head of Strategy – Energy Transition at AXA XL. Katie holds a Masters in Earth Sciences from Oxford University as well as ACII and PRINCE2 accreditations.
Rebecca Self, Co-Founder & Managing Director of Seawolf Sustainability
Rebecca provides independent sustainability advice to accountants, finance professionals and management teams across the world. She operates globally from her independent sustainability consultancy. Prior to this Rebecca was the Director of Sustainable Finance at the environmental consultancy and carbon offset project developer South Pole. Rebecca has extensive experience of the financial services industry, as she worked for four large international institutions in London and Zurich over approximately two decades. In her final industry role, Rebecca was appointed to be the first Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Sustainable Finance at HSBC Holdings plc in 2017. She holds a BSc in Economics and Politics, a Masters in Sustainability Leadership from University of Cambridge, and is a Chartered Global Management Accountant.
